The Northern Lights Picking Up Over a Lake in Myvatn, IcelandImage 1Taken during the same night as Image 12 this was shot later in the night once things really picked up! Marquette, MI  -  May 18, 2017  -  Big news! We're going to be exhibitionist!

Earlier this month we decided to enter in the Northern Lights Exhibition contest through Crooked Tree Art Center, in Traverse City, Michigan. The juried contest was open to residents of Michigan with a professional and amateur  categories.

We recently found out that all three pictures submitting for the professional category have been accepted! We will be taking three large metal prints to the exhibition on Traverse City. The show will start at Crooked Tree on June 8 and run through August 2nd where all three pieces will be on display and for sale!

The images we choose, two from our recent trip to Iceland and one a solar storm this past April in Michigan, are some of our favorite aurora shots!

If you're in the Traverse City area, check out the show and see all of the talent artists accepted as well as Monte Nagler: Visions of Light, a collection of photographic work by Michigan’s own Monte Nagler, a former student of Ansel Adams!
